Colgate Palmolive Max Fresh Toothpaste
When my children were younger, I asked their Dentist what type of toothpaste I should buy for them. It can get very confusing with all the whiteners, plaque control, tartar control, flavor crystals, gels, pastes and salts. Well, you get the point...it can be very daunting to decide what product is best for your children. My Dentist gave me some sound advice. He told be to buy them the toothpaste that tastes the best. His theory was that if my children liked the flavor of the toothpaste, they would be more inclined to brush regularly. The secret to healthy teeth is more in the act of brushing than in the gimmicks used to sell toothpaste.
That was sage advice, which I began to apply to my own toothpaste needs. When I go to the store, I do tend to pay attention to what the product claims it will do for you, but I also try to find flavors that I like. Because I am a coffee drinker, my teeth are slightly stained. I normally look for whitening products when I buy toothpaste, but can’t honestly say that I’ve ever had a Hollywood smile. So beyond whitening products that I am not certain even work, I try to find toothpaste that simply tastes good.
I started running low on my other toothpaste and noticed the interesting packaging of Colgate Max Fresh Kiss Me Mint. I don’t know exactly what I was thinking, but the packaging indicated that it has a whitening formula, which met one of my objectives in purchasing toothpaste. The gimmick with this toothpaste is that it has breath freshening strips. They look like microscopic counterparts to the breath strips that you can purchase in lieu of breath mints that melt on your tongue. I thought it was an interesting concept and might give my mouth a burst of freshness. I purchased a tube (it also comes in a plastic container like my old toothpaste) and decided to give this product a try.
