Barbasol Shaving Cream
I prefer shaving gels to the traditional shaving cream products on the market. If I forget my shaving gel while traveling I will sometimes purchase Barbarsol Shaving Cream because it is inexpensive. Purchasing any cosmetic products in a large city can be expensive. Barbasol shaving cream isn't bad, but the dense gels tends to adhere to my skin better when I apply them to my face. Shaving cream has a tendency to foam up light and sort of fall out in chunks as I apply it. I was not aware that Barbasol made a gel product until I recently came across Barbasol Ultra Shave Gel for sensitive skin. I purchased a can at Wal-Mart for about a dollar and a half. The Edge that I normally purchase at Wal-Mart is more than double that price.
The Barbasol Ultra Premium Shave Gel is fragranced with Mojo. I am not used to using a fragranced shaving cream and sort of like the generic smell I normally associate with shaving cream. I actually didn't even realize this product was fragranced until I started using it. The fragrance is very mild with just a tiny hint of fragrance something along the lines of sandalwood. The smell fades fast, which is fine with me because I am not sure how it would interact with my Escada. Too much fragrance can be a problem. As the smell faded, I thought to myself I've lost my Mojo...(with props to Austin Powers).
Barbasol Ultra Premium Shave Gel has the same dense characteristics of Edge. The product comes out in a deep blue color, puffing up into a nice white froth as you apply it to your face. The shaving gel adheres well during application, although a few drops fall into the sink here and there. As you work the gel into your skin, the moisturizers (this is a sensitive skin product) give your skin the glide it needs for your razor to smoothly extract the stubble without nicking or causing razor burn. I tend to get rashed easily if I do not use a high quality sensitive skin shaving cream. I would suggest that Barbasol has a superior product to Edge when it comes to shaving gel, and it doesn't cost half as much.
