Carmex Lip Moisturizing Click Stick

I have been using carmex for years to soothe my chapped lips or to help in healing cold sores on the rare occasions that they appear. I used to use the traditional pot that you see near the checkout counter at the drug store. After discovering the Carmex Click Stick I have switched up for good.

The click stick has many advantages over the old pots. First of all, the old pots were uncomfortable to carry around when wearing jeans. The hard round pots are big enough to be noticeable in your pocket. The design of the pot made it more geared towards carrying in a pocketbook or leaving in the medicine cabinet. When I apply this product to my lips (moreso in the Winter), I normally need to reapply the product several times during the day. The sleek round tube known as the Carmex Click Stick fits in my pocket comfortably, making it easy to carry with me when I'm on the go.

Another advantage of Carmex Click Stick is the composition of the product inside. The old pots require you to rub your finger over the product and then apply it to your lips. The heat from your finger melts the product prior to application. This is actually advantageous if your lips are very tender, because the pot product will go on much smoother. However, it creates a sticky mess in and around the pot. Touching the product before putting it on your lips is also less than sanitary. The Click Stick applies directly to your lips. The heat of your lips will also melt this product slightly, but it doesn't create the smudginess you get inside the pot. The Click Stick is a little rougher on tender lips because it does not melt as quickly during application. If required, you could actually rub the Click Stick and apply it in the same manner that you would apply Carmex from the pot.
